Upcoming Changes at Watauga
Starting in March you will no longer be able to register or pay at the front desk. All of that will now be taken care of through me and Footworkz. You can now register online and pay via pay-pal, this is instant and the best way to be sure you get your spot in class as most are classes are full or very close to full. You can also register in person on the first day of class. As this new process is being implemented and Watauga is no longer responsible for registration, collection of payments or maintaining rosters I am implementing my own policies; Studentís will not be allowed to dance until tuition is paid in full. However I have also introduced 2 new discounts that most of you will be able to take advantage of.
Below is information about the dance program and how it works.
Your Teacher: My name is Miss Mindy and I am your dance teacher. If you need to contact me for any reason you can call 817-203-4753 or e-mail me MissMindy@footworkz.com. Please don't hesitate to call or e-mail for any reason at all.
Our Website: If you are looking for general information about the classes I teach or about Footworkz you can visit our website www.footworkz.com. There is lots of information and there will be schedules, performance information and even the choreography for our routines. You can also find us on Facebook under Footworkz Dance Company.
Sessions: Our dance classes go in session of 8 weeks each except for Holiday session which is 5 weeks long following fall session.
Full Session: 45 min classes ($28) Holiday Session: 45 min classes ($17.50)
Camera's & Parents In Class: Parents are only allowed in class for the first day (to see how class is run and to meet me) and the last day of class. On the last day of class feel free to bring your cameras and camcorders but there are no cameras permitted at all during the session until that last day. Cameras and camcorders are also encouraged at all our performances.
Attire & Shoes: I don't have strict rules about what to wear to class so long as the dancer is comfortable and can move freely in his/her clothes. I do however prefer girls in leotards & tights and boys in sport pants or shorts and loose fitting t-shirts. I do require tap shoes in my Tap classes, ballet slippers in my ballet classes' and, in my Hip-Hop classes' tennis shoes or jazz shoes are best. No Jeans! I will be bringing 2nd hand dance clothes and shoes to sell on the the first day of class.
2nd Chance Dance: If you need dance clothes (leotards, tights, tap shoes etc.) I have second hand clothes and shoes for sale everything is $5*. If you have old shoes and clothes to sell I will buy them form you or we can make a trade. *the $5 price is for my students only! Tell your friends but my prices are higher for those who are not my students!
Concerns about the class: It is very important to let me know if your child is not enjoying class, has an injury, gets sick, going to be absent, or is planning on dropping the class. Parents can call me anytime, leave a message, leave a note or email me. This is important so I can do my job well and keep your dancer happy and engaged.
Performances: We will have at least two performances every year; One Holiday performance following fall/holiday sessions and one following the spring session. For these performances we will have low cost costumes ($30 or under in most cases) usually our Footworkz T-shirt or sometimes tutus! We will also look into other performance opportunities out in our community. Always invite all your friends and family to our performances let your dancer share what they have learned! (To perform in Holiday recital you must be enrolled in Fall AND Holliday Sessions).
